 Max. size:  40 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 15 - 25 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Senegal to Angola, including the islands of the Bay of Biafra and St Helena.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits rocky and sandy bottoms (Ref. 26999) of coastal waters.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
