 Family:  Cichlidae (Cichlids), subfamily: Pseudocrenilabrinae
 Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed); 13 cm (female)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Malawi. Occurs in Monkey Bay, off Nankhumba Peninsula, between Cape Maclear and Chipoka.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Has been seen over sand near rocks. Feeds on small fishes (Ref. 5595).
