 Max. size:  35 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal,
 Distribution:  Africa: endemic to the Malagarazi River, Tanzania (Ref. 97233).
 Diagnosis:  Mouth large, teeth simple.
 Biology:  Inhabits areas with slow current with vegetation (Ref. 4967). No information available on breeding (Ref. 52307, 97233) and feeding (Ref. 52307) behavior.
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
