 Max. size:  25 cm TL (male/unsexed); 27.5 cm SL (female)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 20 - 470 m
 Distribution:  North Pacific: northern Kuril Islands to the Bering Sea and east to the Gulf of Alaska.
 Biology:  Inhabits primarily outer-shelf regions with a preference for bottoms of sand, pebbles, gravel, and shell.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
