 Family:  Labrisomidae (Labrisomids)
 Max. size:  11.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated
 Distribution:  Western Atlantic: southern Florida (USA), Bahamas, and Yucatan, Mexico to Fernando de Noronha Island, Brazil (Ref. 13628).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 19-19; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-11; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 18-19
 Biology:  Occurs in rocky and rubble shores with algal mats, reefs and seagrass beds.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Known from the backreef of Tague Bay. Feeds on invertebrates, mainly crabs. Grows to about 11.4 cm (Ref. 26180).
