 Family:  Siluridae (Sheatfishes)
 Max. size:  30 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal, potamodromous
 Distribution:  Asia: Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Myanmar (Ref. 4833). Reported from Bhutan (Ref. 40882).
 Biology:  Adults inhabit clear as well as muddy rivers, streams, ponds and lakes (Ref. 41236).
 IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Known from Indus plain and adjoining hilly areas (Ref. 4833). Occurs in Azad Jammu; Kashmir (Ref. 40982); and Wana Toi (Ref. 39701). Also known from North West Frontier Province, Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh (Ref. 51161). Also Ref. 41236, 52665.
