Vertebrae: 49 - 51. Vent immediately anterior to the anal fin base rather than far forward; dentary teeth along more than half the distance from the symphysis to the angle of the gape; 5 branchiostegal rays; dusky blotches mainly above the midline of the body (Ref. 40914).
