Type locality: off Montague Island, New South Wales, AM IA.408 (holotype of Liosaccus aerobaticus) (Ref. 75154). Known from west of Exmouth, WA (24°56'S to 21°51'S) and East of Dunk Is., QLD (18°02'S) to off Cape Everard, VIC (149°15'E) and Babel Island, TAS (39°57'S) (Ref. 75154). Museum: AMS I.22807-017. Also Ref. 5978, 9563.
