Comments

First recorded from Tel Aviv in 1944. Hybridizes with the native A. afsciatus (Ref. 72453). A lessepsian migrant; see Introduction Table. Found in springs on western and southern sides of the Dead Sea: Neot Hakikar, Ein Tureba, Ein Auar and Ein Fashka (Ref. 11028). Palestine (Ref. 27139).
