Short description

Tail pointed and confluent with the dorsal and anal fins; Pectoral and pelvic fins slender and filamentous (Ref. 40587). Dorsal side dark gray-blue colored; ventral side lighter; numerous polygonal spots forming a mosaic pattern, mainly on the dorsal side and the ventral side of the head (Ref. 40587).

This lungfish is fluviatile, it is confined in the calm places with a muddy bottom (Ref. 4910).
